ICAST opens to big crowds
ICAST – the world’s largest fishing tackle trade show – opened Wednesday at the massive Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Running through Friday, the 2017 show opened to heavy crowds of dealers and tackle industry professionals from around the world, leading some to speculate that this year’s show could eclipse the record 15,000 people who attended in 2016. Exhibition space at the show sold out in March, with more than 570 exhibitors showing a wide range of rods, reels, lures and accessories.
For the fifth consecutive year, ICAST runs in conjunction with the International Fly Tackle Dealer Show, produced by the American Fly Fishing Trade Association. This also marks the second year that the show is working cooperatively with the National Marine Manufacturers Association to present the Marine Accessories Pavilion, with manufacturers showcasing marine equipment ranging from propellers to boats.
