Reedville, Virginia-based Max Marine Products announced it has acquired the SuperMAX Anchor business from owner and inventor Andy Peabody.
Manufactured in the USA from high-tensile strength, American tool-grade steel, SuperMAX anchors claim to provide a strong hold on any type seabed, in any conditions, including tidal currents and hurricane winds. The product line includes both rigid and shank models in sizes for boats up to 100,000 pounds.
“Andy Peabody first started manufacturing the SuperMAX anchor in 1995,” said Max Marine owner and CEO, Steve Bedford. “His unique, patented design has stood the test of time and discerning boat builders and boat owners recognize the SuperMAX as the strongest holding anchor available.”
The company is now looking for dealers and distributors nationally.
