Marker One Announces New Models, New Dealers

Introduced in summer 2014, the Marker One pontoon line has proven a strong seller for Cobalt Boats, a company better known for its I/O-powered fiberglass runabouts in the 20 to 40 foot range. So much so that the company has announced another new Marker One model for the 2016 model year.

Joining the M25 and M27 product launched in 2015, the all-new ML-4 utilizes a fiberglass liner combined with fiberglass fencing to provide a smooth, contemporary look. Stretching 24 feet, 10 inches in overall length, the ML4 pontoon boat accepts outboards to 350 horsepower with a choice of Mercury, Yamaha, or Evinrude power. The new boat features niceties like a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, aluminum dash panels with optional ebony accents, and an exclusive submergible swim step that provides a platform underneath the water’s surface for easy re-boarding by swimmers and dogs alike. With a 200-horsepower Mercury Verado, the ML-4 carries an MSRP of just under $85,000.

In the company’s fiberglass V-hull lineup, Cobalt announced four new models for 2016:

• A new A40 Coupe, complementing the hardtop version launched in 2015
• A new R30 bowrider, with an electrically-actuated rear swim step
• A new A5 Water Sports Edition, featuring Volvo Penta’s Forward Drive system
• A new entry-level CS3, with a $68,000 MSRP

In addition to the new models, Cobalt also announced the company has signed 18 new dealers for its Marker One pontoon boats.
