Loudon, Tennessee-based Malibu Boats recently unveiled its new 2017 Wakesetter 21 VLX.
The 21 VLX, with an MSRP of $79,995, is intended to offer high-end features at a price that’s less than that of competing tow boats.
With seating for up to 13, the 21-foot 21 VLX makes “an ideal family-fun watersports boat that’s perfect for skiing, wakeboarding or surfing,” according to the manufacturer. “We believe the 21 VLX will appeal to the first-time towboat buyer looking to experience the thrills of our sport,” said Malibu CEO Jack Springer.
It comes with a long list of standard features for a boat that’s being sold on price, including Malibu’s Surf Gate wave management system, Integrated Surf Platform, Quad Hard Tank Ballast system, Power Wedge II hydrofoil, an all-new G3.5 tower with a Bimini top, a mooring cover plus a Malibu trailer. The standard engine is a Monsoon 6.2 L that generates 410 foot-pounds of torque.
