Anglers who use Yamaha V-Max SHO outboard power with a 9.9 horsepower kicker engine on their boat can now order a replacement cowl for the kicker so it color-matches the primary outboard.

Available for the F9.9 remote steering and T9.9 tiller-steering models, Yamaha’s new Sport Cowl directly replaces the factory original equipment cowling on these 9.9 horsepower models, providing a more harmonized appearance when viewed alongside a V-MAX SHO engine used for primary power. According to the company, professional guides and tournament anglers have long requested a kicker with similar styling and graphics to the popular SHO outboard series.

The new Sport Cowl also allows anglers to customize the appearance of their 9.9 when used as primary power on smaller boats.

The new cowl may be ordered through Yamaha dealers beginning in August.
