Abilene, Texas-based Tige Boats has introduced an all-new model aimed squarely at serious water sports enthusiasts.
The 22-foot R22 is the newest and largest addition to the company’s acclaimed R-Series. Built on Tige’s patented Convex V hull, the R22 is powered by a 6.2L, 308 horsepower Indmar 360R V8 inboard, with a Raptor 400 available as an upgrade. It includes a wide range of standard features, including a collapsible Diamond Tower with swivel board racks, Zero Off cruise control and Tige’s ActiveTouch electronic command center, with a five-inch high definition touch screen display. An available TAPS 3 surf system with Surf Link remote allows a surfer to switch sides, style or wave size instantly. Seating capacity is 15 people.
The R22 will be “aggressively priced” at US$68,910, says Tige Boats, which includes the Diamond Tower with swivel board racks, R-Premium sound system, TAPS 3 surf system, Surf+Wake XL ballast and a boat cover.
